The 2010 Burgo Group calendar has been presented to a press preview.
Loustal, the artist who painted the six artworks exclusively for the Group,
was present at the press conference remarking the reasons of the evocative
Papier Plaisir calendar's title.
From May 27th to June 25th 2017, in the Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza
(Italy), Burgo Group opens to the public the precious artistic heritage that
has gathered in twenty years of illustrated calendars. Visitors could
appreciate the works of some of the most famous international illustrators,
involved in the execution of the famous calendar since 1997:
Jean Michel Folon, Emanuele Luzzati, Milton Glaser, Lorenzo Mattotti, Altan,
Roberto Perini, Paul Davis, Moebius, Giorgio Maria Griffa, José Munoz,

To celebrate such a significant event Burgo made an artbook, Burgo
Collection 1997 -2017, curated by Francesco Poroli and printed on Burgo
coated paper R4 Next satin. The book will be featured on May 31st, in
association with Illustri Festival.

Jacques de Loustal is a well known comics illustrator and painter. His
carnets de voyages, drawn in pen or painted in watercolours, are
particularly notable.
The same carnets style can be found in the six watercolours painted for the
Group's calendar where the taste for painting is being narrated on the
background of quiet Mediterranean seascapes where seasons follow by.
The Burgo Group calendar by Loustal continues the Group's tradition of
calendars made by famous artists - Moebius, Griffa and Muñoz among the most
recent ones.

LA CARTA E IL SEGNO 1997-2017
La mostra che raccoglie e presenta al grande pubblico il prezioso patrimonio
artistico dell’archivio storico di Burgo Group. Un’esposizione che, per la
prima volta permette di ammirare le opere di alcuni fra i più importanti
illustratori internazionali coinvolti dal 1997 a oggi nella realizzazione
del celebre calendario illustrato dell’azienda vicentina. Oltre 100 opere
originali che ripercorrono due decenni attraverso le immagini di alcuni
degli illustratori più affermati e influenti al mondo.
